photo inspirations

had a ton of work stuff to finish up this week, and with the 2 day partnercon event at the beginning of the week, it meant many late evenings at the tail end... which is why i'm just now able to write about what a fantastic time i had at this photo conference!  great vendors, great speakers, and lots of other photographers. my week started off with the women's only event given by me ra koh. this was my first time meeting me ra, and she has a great energy about her and an infectious laugh. me rah kept hinting that the evening was going to end in tears, and true to her word, the waterworks started toward the end thanks to her healing words and warm-heartedness.  i think she gave one of the most beautiful prayers i'd ever heard. thanks for a great event, me rah! :)

i heard some great speakers like him, them, her and him, and met some fabulous new friends like carlos.  carlos is rock-solidly brilliant at what does, and even more so because he's just so cool and nice and generous!  thanks carlos, for reaching out, for our great talk and your encouraging words. it was a great couple of days of inspiration.

now, with my sis and tbone in town, we're headed up the coast for one last weekend at the beach before fall sets in. have a great weekend everyone!

thanks will! good to hear from you. i just now discovered that you had commented (hadn't checked in a while!) yea, i can imagine that down there in mississippi you'd have a much better shot at that living than i do here in claifornia... nice!

Thank you so much for your kind words here and on my blog. I've had a great time tonight looking around your blog and your website. it's always so inspiring to me to see artists like yourself -- that create for the sake of creating first and foremost.

And I love your post about the barn! I couldn't agree more with that idea! And I certainly do my best down here in Mississippi to live that way.

I hope we get a chance to visit again soon. In the meantime, I will certainly be revisiting your blog to keep up with your endeavors.
